How to Login to SBI Netbanking? Uses of SBI Netbanking

SBI also known as the State Bank of India is also known as the largest public sector bank in our country. It also provides the facility of Net banking to its users. In this blog, we will discuss the SBI net banking portal and facilities along with its uses.

 

Registering for SBI net banking

The following criteria must be satisfied by the individual account holder in order to register for SBI Net banking:

  1. The individual must possess an SBI saving account.
  2.  The individual must have linked both his mobile number and his bank account.
  3. The individual must possess a valid ATM card.
  4.  The individual should not apply for a branch facility in order to register online.

 

In order to register on the SBI net banking portal to avail services, follow the given steps:

  1. Visit the official SBI net banking portal..
  2. Select New User Registration/Activation.
  3. Click on ‘Ok’ on the confirmation pop up window that appears on the screen regarding the net banking kit.
  4. Click on ‘New User Registration’ in the drop-down menu and click on ‘Next.’
  5. Fill in all the details like account number, branch code, country, CIF number, registered mobile number and facility the applicant wants to register for. Enter the captcha.
  6.  In the field of ‘Facility Required’, select any one: View, Limited Transactions and Full transactions.
  7. Click on submit.
  8.  Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number and select ‘confirm.’
  9. Select ‘I have an ATM card’ and then submit.
  10.  Enter the details of the ATM and select ‘submit.’
  11. Keep the temporary username displayed on the screen.
  12. Set an adequate password and click on submit in order to finalise the registration.

 

Logging in to SBI Net Banking:

  •  Go to the official net banking website.
  •  Click on ‘Log in’ in the personal banking section.
  • Click on ‘Login’ once you have entered your username and password..
  • You will be redirected to a page which contains account related details.

 

Checking Account balance in SBI Net Banking

Log in to your SBI net banking account, click on ‘Account Summary’ under ‘Quick Links.’ A list of accounts with the banks will appear on your screen. Click on ‘Click here for balance’ to check the balance of your respective accounts.

 

Transferring money through SBI Net Banking

Follow the steps listed below in order to transfer money via the SBI net banking facility:

  • Log in to the official portal of SBI net banking.
  • Select ‘Other Bank Transfer’ under the ‘Transfer/ Payments Tab’ in order to transfer money to some other bank account.
  • If the individual wants to transfer money to an account of the same bank, then he should click on ‘Accounts of Others- Within SBI.’
  • A new screen will appear, select the type of transaction and click on ‘Proceed’.
  • Choose the account you want to make the transfer from, from the list.
  • Enter the transferring amount along with remarks, if any.
  • Choose the account to which you want to transfer the amount.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ once you have agreed to the terms and conditions for the transfer.
  • All the details entered will appear on the screen for a review. Check them and click on ‘Confirm.’
  • Enter the high-security password sent on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Confirm’ to complete the process for authentication.

 

Transferring money from Savings to Home Loan Account:

In order to transfer money from your savings account to your home loan account, follow the steps listed below on the SBI net banking portal:

1.    Use your username and password to log in to the official portal of SBI net banking.

2.    Select ‘Payments/Transfers’ on the home page.

3.    On the new screen, click on ‘Funds Transfer (own SBI A/c)’ under ‘Within SBI’ section.

4.    Select your home loan account from the list of your SBI accounts.

5.    Enter the amount for loan and from the drop down menu, select the purpose of transfer.

6.    Select the time of payment of the amount: whether instantly or for a scheduled time in the future.

7.    Click on ‘Submit.’

8.    Verify all the details that appear on the screen and click on ‘Confirm’.

9.    A success message will be seen on the screen ensuring that the transfer was successful.

 

Changing the password through the SBI Net Banking Portal:

1.    Visit the SBI net Banking Portal.

2.    Under the Personal Banking section, click on Login.

3.    Click on ‘continue to Login.’

4.    Click on ‘Forgot Login Password’, on the login screen.

5.    Select the ‘Forgot My Login Password’ from the drop down menu on the pop-up window and click on ‘Next.’

6.    In the screen, enter the details like username, account number, mobile number, and country, date of birth and captcha code.

7.    Click on submit.

8.    Enter the OTP which you receive on your registered mobile number.

9.    The page to change the password will appear on your screen.
